A nearby solar system has been obliterated by a supernova. Now is your time to move in and extract the valuable resources from its unstable planets — but these jobs are too dangerous to do alone, so send in teams of Hired Paws and form uneasy truces with your rivals to come away with the best loot.
The Afternova Board Game is a strategic negotiation game for 3-6 players. Score victory points by collecting fragments shown on your blueprints to build ship upgrades. When a player completes 6 of blueprints, the game ends and the player with the most victory points wins.
On your turn, you may either take 3 cards from the market or extract fragments from a planet. When performing a Market action, you can take any combination of Blueprint and Hired Paw cards. Blueprints are needed to score points, but they also grant special abilities. Hired Paws have different skill sets, so you’ll need a variety of Hired Paws to Extract, or help other players Extract. The core of the game is negotiating during an Extract action. When performing an Extract action, you often don’t have all the Hired Paws needed to meet the planet’s requirement, so you’ll likely need to team up with other players to split the work and the rewards.

Preordered a large kickstarter that ran into recurring delays. Aside that aspect (waited almost a year extra) which is out of their control, I’m very satisfied with my order, now that it’s received. Delivery was swift and painless once it got dispatched. Maybe I’ll steer away from preorders for a while, and order only what’s available upfront.

I'm kicking myself for ever buying any games from Amazon. MUCH happier to buy from this newly discovered local shop, run by friendly employees. (As well as friendly fellow customers with great advice!) Some of their prices were cheaper than I've seen on Amazon!I could spend ages in this shop. Does the same thing to me that a bookstore does.Would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially those trying to have less screen time and more connecting time. I had an excellent experience ordering from More Than Meeples online.Being a physical store, rather than a service that replies on multiple suppliers of varying reliability, their ability to accurately report on stock is an increasingly rare delight. It might sound like a strange thing to praise, but having had a few recent experiences ordering online from other stores, and then being told weeks later that the stock had never been there and being issues a refund, this was a very nice change.The staff were also wonderful to deal with. They were helpful, and very fast with getting back to me to resolve any queries I had.I had a very positive experience with this store. They were transparent, and reliable. Great range for all kinds of gamers at good prices.
