Dune, the very name conjures up desolation. Vast desert sandscapes cover the majority of the planet’s surface, only to be broken by imposing giant rock ridges. You feel the giant sandworms, a monolithic quarter mile long beneath the sand who await any who linger on the planet’s surface. Human life exists on only scattered locations around the planet where precious water is available. With the planet’s only known source of melange, the planet’s mysterious spice key to the destiny of the galactic empire; Imperial troops, aristocratic families, Guildsmen, a secretive sisterhood, and the nomadic native Freman are all vying for control for power on the planet. Massive battles and skirmishes await, but will you be a brilliant leader, or will a sudden act of low treachery be what gives you the power you crave so much.
In the Dune Board Game, you can explore many of the possible interactions that might have taken place among the many fascinating factions in the Dune universe, each with their own drives, needs, and special advantages. I'm kicking myself for ever buying any games from Amazon. MUCH happier to buy from this newly discovered local shop, run by friendly employees. (As well as friendly fellow customers with great advice!) Some of their prices were cheaper than I've seen on Amazon!I could spend ages in this shop. Does the same thing to me that a bookstore does.Would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially those trying to have less screen time and more connecting time. I had an excellent experience ordering from More Than Meeples online.Being a physical store, rather than a service that replies on multiple suppliers of varying reliability, their ability to accurately report on stock is an increasingly rare delight. It might sound like a strange thing to praise, but having had a few recent experiences ordering online from other stores, and then being told weeks later that the stock had never been there and being issues a refund, this was a very nice change.The staff were also wonderful to deal with. A fantastic board game store in Brisbane. If you are looking for a massive range of board games, or trying to pick up that board game set that you missed out on supporting on Kickstarter, then this is the place for you. They have a really wide variety of great quality board games, card games and party games, plus the ability to purchase Kickstarter additions with different supporter options. The actual store is a little difficult to find, but once you do, you won't be disappointed by what is on offer. The staff were super friendly and helpful. When looking for a gift, for my board game aficionado friends, I always come looking at More Than Meeples.
Great store with great range and really awesome customer service. I always click and collect and the order is always ready sooner than I think is even possible. It’s great to come into the store and I often end up picking up something extra as they have so many cool things in store including exclusive Kickstarter items. There looks like there are a lot of games for the small amount of space there is. I did not get to check out the store at all since I had to dash to get home. Did not have a bad experience but if you are not used to city driving, I would recommend looking at where you are going as I ended up parking in the wrong carpark.
