In the world of big games about Mars everybody should have one that fits in their pocket.
Pocket Mars is a fast paced and wildly dynamic card game, but don’t let the short playthrough time fool you. It’s a heavy weight filler! A compressed and easy to understand set of rules combined with cards that you can play in more than one way is what makes this game great! Fifteen minutes is all it takes for you and your friends to set out on an exciting adventure in space!
Your goal is to place as many colonists as you can in the buildings of your Mars settlement. To do so, you will need to choose carefully how and when to play your cards.
The way you trigger actions on your cards is the heart of the game. Everything depends on where you play them from, which is the game’s main strategic element. You could play a project card straight from your hand and trigger its effect instantly or turn it into a module and play it from your preparation zone. This will let you add it to one of the five buildings in your settlement, trigger an action sequence and transport your colonists to Mars.

I'm kicking myself for ever buying any games from Amazon. MUCH happier to buy from this newly discovered local shop, run by friendly employees. (As well as friendly fellow customers with great advice!) Some of their prices were cheaper than I've seen on Amazon!I could spend ages in this shop. Does the same thing to me that a bookstore does.Would definitely recommend it to anyone, especially those trying to have less screen time and more connecting time. I had an excellent experience ordering from More Than Meeples online.Being a physical store, rather than a service that replies on multiple suppliers of varying reliability, their ability to accurately report on stock is an increasingly rare delight. It might sound like a strange thing to praise, but having had a few recent experiences ordering online from other stores, and then being told weeks later that the stock had never been there and being issues a refund, this was a very nice change.The staff were also wonderful to deal with. They were helpful, and very fast with getting back to me to resolve any queries I had.I had a very positive experience with this store. They were transparent, and reliable. A fantastic board game store in Brisbane. If you are looking for a massive range of board games, or trying to pick up that board game set that you missed out on supporting on Kickstarter, then this is the place for you. They have a really wide variety of great quality board games, card games and party games, plus the ability to purchase Kickstarter additions with different supporter options. The actual store is a little difficult to find, but once you do, you won't be disappointed by what is on offer. The staff were super friendly and helpful. When looking for a gift, for my board game aficionado friends, I always come looking at More Than Meeples.
Great store with great range and really awesome customer service. I always click and collect and the order is always ready sooner than I think is even possible. It’s great to come into the store and I often end up picking up something extra as they have so many cool things in store including exclusive Kickstarter items. There looks like there are a lot of games for the small amount of space there is. I did not get to check out the store at all since I had to dash to get home. Did not have a bad experience but if you are not used to city driving, I would recommend looking at where you are going as I ended up parking in the wrong carpark.
