The In Dreams Card Game, is a slightly surreal storytelling game for one, which uses vivid imagery and evocative prompts to immerse you in a dreamworld you wouldn’t have otherwise imagined.
In this storytelling solo game, the player writes a story in which a character in a dreamworld must complete a specific goal before waking. The player begins by drawing cards to create a randomized character with a starting temperament. Card draws will also determine the goal the character must achieve by the dream’s end in order for the player to win.
Storytelling then begins by drawing cards to create an Encounter. An Encounter consists of 2-4 short prompts as well as a location. All Encounter cards include surreal artwork to help inspire fresh and creative interpretations each game. The player must immediately write about the generated Encounter, including all of the prompts and the location while attempting to move the character closer to their goal.
Some Encounters will prompt the player to generate an Event. Two cards from the Event deck will determine what is happening as well as the tone. These cards too include surreal artwork for inspiration. Events are resolved in the same manner as Encounters.
The game continues, with the player drawing and resolving Encounters and Events through storytelling until the character’s goal is met.

Really excellent selection of games. A warhammer section at the front with pain T s and books ect. Then a board/card game area out thr back. As well as some fun little items(Escape room greeting cards!? Love it!!)The staff are very helpful but also give you your space so you can browse peacefully.

I do not know what a Meeple is, but it is safe to say these folks are more than Meeples, lol...ordered some out of print board games from them for shipping to the USA, and they had no problems fulfilling it in a timely fashion! MTM is the best! I have made 3 purchases with them this year (some marvel and dc omnibus’) and have only had pleasant experiences with them.As an omnibus collector i can also say they have some of the best prices for these kinds of books.I have bought from places like Amazon previously and have received already damaged books (labelled as brand new) - although this type of thing is common, ive never had an experience like this when shopping with More Than Meeples and i will continue to shop with them.

This is my new pick for Brisbane's best game store. good amount of stock and caters to niche interests. has a bit more than your vanilla gamesters. be prepared to have a difficult time finding the place though, be sure to get there than give the friendly staff a call for directions. this place is worth discovering

Preordered a large kickstarter that ran into recurring delays. Aside that aspect (waited almost a year extra) which is out of their control, I’m very satisfied with my order, now that it’s received. Delivery was swift and painless once it got dispatched. Maybe I’ll steer away from preorders for a while, and order only what’s available upfront.
